Government

Government
The Hermon Town Government is a Council form with an annual town meeting for budget adoption. The Council meets on two Thursdays of each month for regular and workshop meetings. The meetings start at 6:30 pm in the meeting room of the Public Safety Building. All Council Meetings are broadcast on Time Warner and can be viewed on-line the week after through our website. The Council is elected to 3 year staggered terms and have a three term limit. Elections are held in June and nomination papers are available at the Town Office in late winter.
Citizen involvement is an important component of town operation. If you want to get involved, citizen participation forms are available or you can just stop in at a meeting, or the Town Office.
Other chances to get involved include our many committees, the Planning Board or the School Committee. Also, if you just want to volunteer, Hermon Recreation has many ways to make a difference.
If you want to learn more, visit our ordinances, review the charter, or read about the annual budget.
